Cologne, Germany

We wrap up our visit to Cologne today and will make our way back to the Netherlands. Although we did not spend much time in Cologne, we did take the opportunity to visit the massive Cologne Cathedral. It still is the church that most impresses me due to its sheer size. We also spent some time in the central shopping district next to the cathedral.

I remember reading about how the American, I think, pilots were told to not bomb this building when WW2 was coming to an end. I think 1 stray bomb did hit one small area of the building. I think there was a photo of the town in ruins but this building was still standing somewhere near this site.

More muggy hot weather here. One week until I leave for MITM's in Cooper Mountain Colorado.
